Dear Esteemed Members of the Dental Profession,

It gives me great pleasure to warmly welcome you all to the 27th Scientific Convention and Trade Exhibition (SCATE) 2020 organised by the Malaysian Dental Association. The SCATE 2020 will be held from the 14-16th February 2020 2020 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur.

With the theme “Bridging the Present and Future of Dentistry”, the 27th edition will focus on the evolving art and science of dentistry with an increasing trend towards digitization. The organizing committee has been working relentlessly on bringing in prominent and renowned speakers both internationally and regionally. I am particularly excited and gratified to have a line-up of keynote speakers including, but not limited to, Dr Jone Kim from the USA, Dr Loh Kai Woh from Singapore, Dr Anthony Mak from Australia, Prof.Dr Adrian Yap and Dr Simon Ng. They will share with us their insightful skills and knowledge on various topics of interest in the ever-evolving field of dentistry.

In addition, students, researchers and practitioners will get the opportunity to present and share their research findings with peers and leading experts in dentistry in the free communication competition and postal presentation.

SCATE is also a good platform and opportunity for participants to mingle around and rekindle old friendship while making new ones.

The Dental trade exhibition will be running concurrently with the dental congress. Here participants will find equipment and appliances for basic daily use to the latest innovations.

This is a truly not to be missed dental event in the region.
